Efficient spin injector scheme in Heusler materials

The rational design of the spintronic devices was recently proposed by us based on theoretical electronic structure engineering methods. It concerns the basic elements of spintronics, such as the so-called TMR (based on tunelling magnetoresistance effect) or GMR (giant magnetoresistance) junctions used to switch on and off the electric current by applying small magnetic fields.

With deep worries we are observing the situation in Sendai after the devastating earthquake, the tsunami and the nuclear disaster. We are stunned and shocked.

For some of our colleagues we know that they survived with their families, for others we are still waiting for informations.

We wish our japanese friends safety and hope in a time of such tragedy. Our thoughts are with them and their families.
